Pioneer Playhouse is located at:840 Stanford Rd.Danville, KY 40422No tickets are required for this event.The gates will open to attendees at 11:30 am.There is parking for about 150 cars at Pioneer Playhouse, and overflow parking will be available at Admiral Stadium.

In October, there can be significant fluctuations in the temperature over the course of the day, so dressing in layers is always a good idea! AND, since this year's theme is Rainbow Rodeo, we'd love to see folx in their finest Western wear! You know how we love a theme!

Danville and the surrounding area are blessed to have a significant number of young Queer folx who may be celebrating their first Pride at this event. We want to make the Danville Pride Festival a place where the LGBTQ+ community and allies, young and old, can feel safe and welcome.  Please see additional information regarding drag performances in the "Includes three drag shows" section.

There will be live music, drag shows, and a DJ at the event, so expect music, laughter, cheering, and clacker fans. We will have a quiet/calming space available for any festival-goers who need to take a sensory break, so check the map when you arrive at the festival!

1:30 Drag Show- Rainbow Ridge Riders3:30 Drag Bingo- Y'all Means All!5:30 Drag Show- Hometown Round UpThere will be drag shows at 1:30 and 5:30 pm and Drag Bingo (which includes drag performances) at 3:30. The drag shows and bingo will last approximately 50-60 minutes each. If you'd like to tip the drag performers (and live musicians) please bring your own $1 bills. Bingo cards will be available for purchase and all proceeds will go directly to funding the 2027 Danville Pride Festival.Please be advised: If you are bringing children (anyone under 18 years of age) and you do not want your children to witness the gloriousness of drag, then don't bring them to the drag show(s). Attendance at the 1:30 and 5:30 drag show(s) and the 3:30 drag bingo indicates your understanding that you, and any children accompanying you, will see a drag show. The responsibility of deciding whether a child will see a drag show falls on the parents/guardians of the child, not on Danville KY Pride, the drag performers, or Pioneer Playhouse.

For the 2026 Pride Festival, we are moving the drag performances inside of Pioneer Playhouse's indoor theatre. There will be some chairs and tables available for attendees, but, there may not be enough for all attendees to sit for drag performances. As such, please feel free to bring your own chairs. There will also be seating for eating in the patio dining area just outside of the indoor theatre.We are not allowing attendees to bring 10x10 tents or other pop-up tents at this time.

Will have alcohol available at the festival...

Birds Nest Brewery will be our alcohol vendor for the 2026 Danville Pride Festival. The bar will be set up inside the indoor theatre and will remain open throughout the entirety of the festival. Birds Nest Brewery will be checking IDs at the bar.We are also delighted to include a sober tent at this year's festival, sponsored by All Together Recovery!

We have hired Battle Tested Defense Solutions again this year to provide security for the 2026 Danville Pride Festival. No weapons (other than those carried by event security and on-duty law enforcement) will be allowed on the premises. The Danville KY Pride Board and Pioneer Playhouse reserve the right to remove anyone from the premises during this event for any reason.

Has a rain plan...

Luckily, Pioneer Playhouse has some larger indoor spaces, so we have a rain plan which will allow us to move our festival indoors and under tents, if needed. No rain is gonna make us hide our rainbows!

Question 10

Welcomes well-behaved dogs...

Accepted Answer

Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the event, but they must be leashed at all times. If an attendee's dog is behaving in a manner that is threatening towards other people or animals, the Danville KY Pride Board, Pioneer Playhouse, and/or Battle Tested Defense Solutions reserve the right to ask the owner to take the dog home for the remainder of the event. The owner, of course, is welcome to return to the festival without the dog.
